120+ dead, truly shocking....

BBC

May those that died Rest In Peace and those left behind see justice for this despicable act.

I have my thoughts on this, but won't voice them until more is known.

Islamic State claims responsibility for Paris attacks

Islamic State claimed responsibility on Saturday for attacks that killed 127 people in Paris, saying it sent fighters strapped with suicide bombing belts and carrying machine guns to various locations in the heart of the capital.

The attacks were designed to show France would remain a top target for the jihadist group as long as the country continued its current policies, the group said in a statement.

And that idiot Merkel has let how many in with her stupid, ill thought through words? Europe is going to have to live with this for years.

You might be interested in a recent speech by Marine Le Pen when she dishes out the truth to the euro leftists who can't handle it.

Lefties often can't handle the reality of things. Far too few of them have ever seen any real life.

The thing I'm worried - in fact, not worried, down right scared - about, is the French and our governments are using the Paris atrocities to carry out knee-jerk security clampdowns that won't affect terrorist activity at all, but will give the security services, police, and especially council jobsworths another excuse to push us folk, who are just trying to get on with our lives, around.
Franky, the phrase 'if you've done nothing wrong, you've got nothing to worry about' is an ideal tag line for police states & Daily Mail (Hate) readers everywhere.

Perfectly right Lex, and it's why we've seen 'false flag' events in the past. There are sufficient laws already in place for monitoring we don't need any more. Councils have regularly misused RIPA over the years on the most trivial of things.

I have written to my MP about this. The reply I've had is that she's written to Theresa May on my behalf voicing my concerns! I honestly wish others would take a more proactive stance and let these muppets in power know that we're watching them.

Oh what a surprise....

Few dissenting voices as France curbs rights after massacre

France calls itself "the homeland of human rights" but has focussed in the past week on limiting them as the government pushed through sweeping curbs on basic freedoms in the wake of the Paris massacre.

In the edgy days since jihadists killed 130 people on Nov. 13, the government declared a "war on terrorism", extended its initial post-attack state of emergency for three months and laid out plans to write further restrictions into the constitution.

Civil libertarians protest that the crackdown could leave fundamental rights curtailed even after the crisis has past.

Would any of these changes really have prevented this terrible massacre?

Governments just want the excuse to remove our hard won rights, we must remain vigilant.
