I wonder if Rebbonk or anyone happens to know whether HSBC bank is now part of Santander? There seems to be some confusion about this. Thanks. |

HSBC is part of the worldwide HSBC Group and is wholly owned by Hong Kong-based The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Santander UK plc is a British bank, wholly owned by the Spanish Santander Group. You might find this useful... who owns your bank or building society It pays to know who owns who, if you are worried about being covered under the compensation scheme. |
