How is everyone coping with staying at home, and only going out for provision. ?

I'm still having to go to work, so no cabin fever here thankfully. |

I'm being naughty and walking the dog twice a day. Not that I ever see anyone. I made a quick dash to the corner shop today for bread, again I didn't meet anyone. I do my main shop at Tesco on Mondays. I'll be struggling a little for pet food if they're out again this week. Generally, I'm missing the pub but the two animals are keeping me on my toes, especially with cleaning! |

My son still comes to us for Sunday lunch. AS long as he is in good health, free of colds and bugs. Though I don't use the buses at present I still go for a walk and use the local shops. I am hearing that the buses are going to stop or reduce service next week. |

Many of ours have already reduced services Margaret. I walk along the main road with the dog and the buses seem to be empty most of the time. It simply doesn't make sense to run them like this. I think that this coronavirus will result in many permanent changes to the way we live and work. I see working from home as becoming much more common, now that it's been proven it can be done. I also predict a baby boom in about 9 months time, and a rapid rise in divorces once this 'house arrest' is over.

In Asda this morning, there seems to be plenty of dog and cat food. Dried and tinned. |

A quick dash around Tesco just before lunchtime. The place was almost empty of shoppers and I got everything I needed, including soap, toilet rolls and pet food. |

Oh yes, I initially went to Tesco , got most stuff I wanted except they were limiting two of each items. I then went to Asda and got some flour, but they still don't have a lot in. |

One thing I did notice earlier, was that several people I passed in the store were 'whiffy'. I can only think that not going to work has allowed personal hygiene standards to drop. |

OMG. Maybe they don't change their clothes or something. Or they stink of smoke. |

Oddly enough, I had a chat with a checkout girl when this panic buying started. We'd both noticed soap and bleach going, but clothes washing powders and liquids remained largely untouched. |

I've noticed the PR people have been working overtime telling us how wonderfully caring the supermarkets are. |

The supermarkets have a lot to answer for. They could have stopped panic buying from the outset, but saw their short term profits! |

Hope you're all coping ok. A few reports are starting to say the peak is not far off, so hopefully there's the hope of a glimmer of the light at the end of the tunnel! |

Not much difference to my life Lex. I just don't go to the pub a few afternoons a week. |

I spent a pleasant couple of hours snoozing in the sun this afternoon. |
