SDC is starting the process of buying the airfield, and up goes my Council Tax bill to pay for it. I wonder what the council plan to do with it; [insert cliches about white elephants and not being able to run a bath].
No doubt the Tories will tell us how they saved this 'valuable community asset' during campaigning for the next lot of local elections.

Looks like they're squaring up for what could become an expensive fight.

No-one will admit that they know what's happening there, but archaeologists have been doing some surveying work there (and they are not cheap), someone who authorised them must know something about future building plans.
