Better get in there before we quit the EU!
I'm still sceptical, Warwick's traffic flow isn't great now, and not sure this'll help things. But then, I'm not an expert

So this scheme is going to reduce the air quality in the town centre? I'd suggest that is not the best of ideas. - But what do I know, I'm not a town planner.officers said the changes could even increase air quality on some streets, despite reducing levels overall in the town.
They obviously know what they're doing
Looks like it's getting toe go-ahead: http://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/n...oday-1-7723458
Looks like Warwick town centre's going to be come an island in a huge one way system: http://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/n...ntre-1-8088768
I reckon that'll increase air pollution.
It could well do. People are now going to have to drive right round town to get from 1 side to the other.
I laughed when I read about the 20mph speed limit; you're lucky to get out of 1st gear in the town centre during the day: http://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/n...ntre-1-8210639
Air pollution is getting worse: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...says-1-8616485
A bit more pedestrianisation for Warwick: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...uare-1-8766260
A nice plan for clogging other parts of Warwick up: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...onth-1-8902348
That's the thing. They simply move the problem elsewhere.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
The video encouraging using public transport , says a full bus is equivalent to 55 cars on the road. Well that maybe, but it is also equivalent to 55 different strains of germs breathed in. I say this because I am not a car owner and use the buses regularly and I try to avoid a packed bus, because people cough and sneeze and don't bother putting their hand to mouth. Then dirty hands go on the hand rails. I have experienced crowded buses and have caught colds travelling. Now I choose my time when the rush is over. The other week I wanted to open a window because all the windows were steamed up, a lady in front said oh no, its not the kind of day to open the window! I said well it is a bit stuffy and the windows are steamed up, she said, but it is cold! so I left it at that, it wasn't cold at all.

Margaret,
The reasons you cite had a bearing on me taking up driving again after 10 years of being without a car. Both Mrs R and myself were fed up with being infected from the great unwashed who had absolutely no idea of personal hygiene.
To be honest, I could do without the expense, but the convenience, safety and health issues far outweigh this.
