I must admit, that doesn't feel good to me.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Another step towards 'Blackpool-on-Avon': http://www.stratford-herald.com/1048...rt-monday.html
And I thought talk of painting parts of Coventry blue was tacky!

Permanent planning permission for the Ferris Wheel will just be waved through, as it'll be a nice little earner for the council: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...ratford-wheel/
Another great idea to bring chaos to Stratford: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...s-and-traffic/
It's been a while since I've been to Stratford but the island in the picture was always a nightmare for pedestrians, and I'm surprised that there weren't more accidents, especially with all the tourists.
I'm really not sure what could realistically be done. Pedestrianise the 'centre' apart from out of hours deliveries?

The problem with Bridge Street is that it's one of the main thoroughfares through Stratford. Every time it's closed, traffic comes to a complete halt as extra traffic is diverted to Brum Road (which is permanently clogged up anyway) or Shipston & Seven Meadows Road (which isn't much better during rush hour.
The idea of building a 'Stratford Ring Road' occasionally raises its head, but is quickly shouted down, because people don't want a new road built through their nice quiet suburb/village (usually the same people who complain about the amount of traffic in Stratford!)

The ice rink & drive in cinema have got the go ahead. Fantastic: https://www.stratford-herald.com/new...-plan-9206585/
Plans for a model boat area in the canal basin have been withdrawn, thank God: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...-in-stratford/
It might have been interesting if managed properly. However, many model boats do create a lot of noise, pollution and general nuisance. But to be fair, I find CART's stance a touch hypocritical and bordering on NIMBYism.

A new standard for tackyness has been set: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/wh...-shop-26761743
