I've been visiting the Marketplace museum occasionally for 25-odd years, and have been thinking for a while that it could do with an update; I'll follow this with interest: http://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/new...eway-1-6792411

I love museums, though it's been a while since I've been to that particular one.
We need to preserve the past so this really is good news.
I'm a big museum fan too - almost to the point of being OCD about looking at every item on display!
When I used to have my kids at the weekend we spent hours in museums. Even today the daughter can't walk past one.
I think Nuneaton Museum was one of their favourites, whilst Cosford air museum was mine.
The museum's going to have 2 new displays: http://www.warwickcourier.co.uk/news...wick-1-7312378
I can't wait for the museum to reopen...
Work seems to be going well: http://www.stratford-herald.com/6041...uary-2017.html
Work by local artists looks set to be sold at the museumhttp://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/news/retail-opportunity-for-warwickshire-artists-at-revamped-museum-1-7692202
That is a good idea. I've seen pubs and cafes do this quite successfully in the past.
It's definitely good thing for both the museum (being short of cash nowadays, and taking a commission),and the artists (somewhere to show/sell their work).
THe grand opening's this weekend: http://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/new...ntre-1-7819694
