Roast pork followed by blackberry crumble for me tonight.
Roast pork followed by blackberry crumble for me tonight.
Very unusual for us, but we're having a lamb roast dinner tonight.
Unfortunately, the leg of lamb was so big that we'll be eating it until Wednesday and there will still be enough left over to make me a small Shepherd's pie.
Going to be an easy (and small) shop this week.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
The usual roast chicken with all the veggies. Coffee and fruit cake afters.
We had a light meal last night of ham salad batches with a few fries. I must admit it was very nice for a change.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Haddock & chips, peas.
I tried some Apple & Beetroot bread today, I actually liked it, specially since I like beetroot and apple anyway, I thought it was an nice combination. I was going to top it off with a nice hunk of cheese but resisted the temptation, because of my boring old cholesterol being a bit raised. I do miss cheese.
Lamb curry tonight.
Like you Margaret, I love some decent cheese. Unfortunately, my gout only allows me the very bland stuff, which is not worth eating.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Do you like Cottage cheese, Rebbonk? I love it.
I bought my son some Tuscany Sausage Penne, and noticed it has Vodka in the ingredients, doesn't say how much though.
Just imagine someone being stopped in his car and breathalysed after eating a good helping of that meal not knowing there was Vodka in it, and swore he never had a drink before driving!
Not keen on cottage cheese Margaret.
Some pubs/restaurants I know highlight when they've used alcohol in their cooking, for this very reason. It isn't usually a problem as most of the alcohol boils off during cooking, but there are a few puddings that retain it quite well.
I'm puzzled as to the use of Vodka. It's tasteless isn't it?
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Home made chicken curry for me tonight, although I seem to have overdone the chillies!
Mrs R's not been well for the last couple of days, so our meal plans have gone somewhat awry. But I think it'll be jacket potatoes tonight.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
I like a jacket spud once in a while, with baked beans & cheese.
My curry wasn't overly spicy after all, just nicely hot.
I've been told to hold off tonight's curry. Not sure what we'll be having.
Got Roast lamb for tomorrow and Tuesday, and I've frozen some for a future Shepherd's pie.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
I don't know if it is a Brummie thing, but my husband always likes a cup of tea straight after his dinner. I generally wait for a couple of hours. I don't like drinking right after my dinner, I'll feel too awash like a washing machine.

Apparently, we're now having Curry tonight!
Margaret, the Brummies I worked with were right tea bellies! I only used to drink water and they couldn't understand me.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Yes, that Vodka we mentioned is a mystery, like you say it is tasteless. The first time I got woozy on Vodka was when I was 21 and the girls from the office took me out and gave me drinks laced with Vodka , unbeknown to me! It was funny though.
Enjoy your home made curry. My friend made some and gave me some to take home and try, I asked what was in it she said she will give me the recipe after I sampled it. It was very nice, so........ I shall have to wait till I see her again and get the recipe. I don't know what all the mystery is about.
