I dug deep and found this page from 2008, because last week I went to a poetry reading , and not one of them rhymed.actually some were so tedious and long i ALMOST YAWNED
I know there is wonderful blank verse, but I thought that at least one which rhymed wouldn't have hurt.
I thought I'd mention it but didn't like to upset anyone.
    (Actually I was a coward.)
We could have favourites from members and liven us all up
I like John Masefield , and amongst others 2 favourites of mine are
    Kubla KAN by coleridge
    Tarantella by Hillaire Belloc
How does one upload to WOL SITE?

Well, if it is text you could simply copy/paste or there are buttons on here that might help with pointing to a url. If you get stuck, you can always send it to me and I will get it up.

    One of my favourites

The Charge of the Light Brigade - Alfred, Lord Tennyson

    1.

Half a league, half a league,
    Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.
    "Forward, the Light Brigade!
"Charge for the guns!" he said:
    Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

    2.

    "Forward, the Light Brigade!"
    Was there a man dismay'd?
    Not tho' the soldier knew
    Someone had blunder'd:
    Theirs not to make reply,
    Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
    Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

    3.

    Cannon to right of them,
    Cannon to left of them,
    Cannon in front of them
    Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
    Boldly they rode and well,
    Into the jaws of Death,
    Into the mouth of Hell
    Rode the six hundred.

    4.

    Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
    Sabring the gunners there,
    Charging an army, while
    All the world wonder'd:
    Plunged in the battery-smoke
    Right thro' the line they broke;
    Cossack and Russian
    Reel'd from the sabre stroke
    Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
    Not the six hundred.

    5.

    Cannon to right of them,
    Cannon to left of them,
    Cannon behind them
    Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
    While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
    Left of six hundred.

    6.

    When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
    All the world wondered.
    Honor the charge they made,
    Honor the Light Brigade,
    Noble six hundred.

    TOMORROW

What is tomorrow, when today is here
When today it seems like yesteryear?
When future is now today's reality,
    Happiness and grief in perpetuity!
When tomorrow comes, it becomes today,
And the day that's gone, becomes yesterday.
Yet we only live one day at a time,
So why do we try, tall mountains to climb?
Tomorrow is dreams of things to come,
Reality to others, fantasy to some.
Promises and thoughts, so wistfully inclined,
Weaknesses and strengths, which need to be refined.
All the tomorrows haven't come as yet,
Remember that now, lest you mindfully forget.
There are many to come, though more for some,
Will you stop and listen, to a different drum?
Tomorrow hasn't come, make the most of today,
Don't grieve at the things others thoughtlessly say.
Take hold of the beauty and love that surrounds,
Tomorrow will come, it knowest no bounds!

(One of my efforts from many long years ago.)
    Cool
