    Default Listed Pub Demolished

Coventry has few enough old buildings, and this one has been knocked down for 'road improvements': https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-64197254

What has happened there is an absolute scandal. A few yards nearer town and you hit an irremovable pinch-point. There was no reason for this demolition at all.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Oh yes. I bet O'Boyle was involved too.

I agree they should have saved that pub. I have also. heard that the Litten Tree will be demolished but that one will not be missed by many unlike the Black Horse.

There is actually a lot of history related to the Litten Tree. Sadly, much of it is unknown by the greater population of Coventry.

Yes I agree the history of the building is interesting with Rover in the past however it is a shame that the original Edwardian frontage has been removed as far back as the 1950s but not sure if it was due to suffering damage during WW2.
