The forecast has actually improved since I last looked at it.

I don't have to go out, so feet up and music on. ;)

I wonder how many will benefit from the extra hour. I usually wake about the same time most mornings so maybe I will have an extra cuppa.

Getting rid of the clock changes is mentioned occasionally, but the farming community starts kicking a fuss up & it's dropped again.

It probably messes up the cow bodyclock for a few days. How do they know to put their bodyclocks forward or back?

I've felt tired all day, I woke up at some ungodly hour, with a headache, I think it was 03:30 . So got up and put the kettle on for a cuppa and some headache pills, and stayed up, been yawing all day.. It must be the thought of the dark nights and winter months looming ahead.
By the way, I'm glad I've done all my Christmas shopping.

We had a power failure yesterday for about 4 hours, and of course I was worried about the freezer contents... but amazingly when our electricity was restored the food in the freezer was fine it was still quite frozen and temperature remained at -18 when it was switched back on.
I didn't have the freezer packs in there as they take up a bit of room, but in anycase I will keep the freezer packs in the freezer in the event of another power cut. I was wondering what liquid it is they use in the freezer packs, does anyone know?

From memory, Margaret, it's a mix of water and glycol.

We used to use it to defrost aircraft wings! BTW, it's poisonous, so don't burst the packs.

Thanks Rebbonk.. That is what I was wanting to know in a round about way.. So in that case, I don't think I shall be using the freezer packs. Even if they are not damaged or burst.
Do you use them?

I've not currently got any, Margaret. But, my freezer is relatively small, so they'd take up too much space.

I have used them in the past in a 'cool' box without any issues. It just pays to know what you're dealing with.

I can't say I've really noticed the postal strikes. I really can't help thinking that by striking they're cutting their own throats.
