There's already a couple of those floating around, and a floating library. One of my old school buddies is a canal curate. Not something I would ever have envisioned him doing.

I've always fancied living on a narrow boat, but I'm too used to being connected to mains everything nowadays to make the move.

I've thought about it a few times. The late Mrs R was all for it, I do it on my own! :D

I've a few friends who live on the canal, most love it, but you have to be the 'right sort' of person to get the best out of it. I had another friend who went to live on a narrowboat and the loneliness drove him to attempt suicide.

You definitely have to have a certain mindset to live on a narrowboat.

Whatever you do, don't go searching ApolloDuck. It sets your mind wondering, 'What if...'
