I wonder if Rebbonk or anyone happens to know whether HSBC bank is now part of Santander?

HSBC is part of the worldwide HSBC Group and is wholly owned by Hong Kong-based The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.

Santander UK plc is a British bank, wholly owned by the Spanish Santander Group.
