Janner not to face the courts - This stinks

So he finally turned up!

BBC

Sadly, I can't help thinking that there's a bit of a charade going on here. I doubt those making the allegations will see adequate closure.

What I do hope though, is that this case will help to flush out some of the 'establishment' that have helped cover up child abuse over the years. And I don't for one minute believe that paedophilia ran through the establishment in the 70s. but has miraculously stopped since. Younger offenders will have replaced the older ones.

Quote from a website I use...

Quote:
No-one dresses their dad like a clown to go to court. Nor do they loudly announce when leaving the court that "We're going home for some ice-cream daddy."

I guess you understand the drift of the way things are going on that site? ;)

Oh what a surprise...

Quote:
Lord Janner is unfit to stand trial over allegations of child sexual abuse spanning four decades, a High Court judge has ruled.

Mr Justice Openshaw told the Old Bailey the 87-year-old peer had "advanced and disabling dementia".

Both prosecution and defence barristers had agreed at a previous hearing that Greville Janner was not well enough to take part in a criminal trial.

BBC

I wonder if we'll see an investigation as to why he wasn't prosecuted when the chance was there?

Mind you, a trial of the facts might still leave a few squirming.

With a bit of luck, there will be a lot of squirming. No doubt, Janner's condition will improve greatly once the trial's over.

Damned convenient though!

And I believe this is the game the authorities are playing. Stretching things out so those implicated snuff it.

Yes, I was actually taken aback - it turned out it seemed he was as ill as he had claimed!
