Is this quite right?

Wasn't Warwick the King maker, or his father, the first Earl of Warwick.
The King maker married into the Warwick family , so presumably there were other Earls of Warwick before him.
How can an 18th century Greville be the first Earl when the title goes back to the middle ages? . :huh:
