I believe that the truth is known, but proving it is rather difficult. Hence the prolonged arrests and bail...

Emotive as this case is, surely 11 months on bail isn't on?
Either plod have the evidence, or they don't.
I'm no human rights advocate, but I really think this is an abuse of power.

It seems to be the way things have gone over recent years - starting with control orders, then TPIMS, and now the police putting people on permanent bail or using the civil law route. 'Police State Creep' might be a useful phrase.

But, of course, if we've done nothing wrong, we have nothing to fear.

Yes, the legal process can be slow. My only hope is that a 'fair' trial happens and that those accused are not 'tried by media' as has happened in other cases.
If the accused are genuinely guilty, I trust they will get a stiff penalty; but we cannot allow scapegoats just to appease 'the system'.
I also hope (if the defendants are guilty) that the parents are finally allowed closure.

2 men charged with Nicola's murder found not guilty. Sadly, this may become just another unsolved case: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-34843374

Having followed the case, I can't say I'm surprised at the verdict at all. In my honest opinion there was never a realistic chance of conviction from what I read. (Others have commented the same.) I really can't understand how the CPS decided they had sufficient evidence.
Sadly, this can't have helped the family at all. They had their expectations raised only to be cruelly dashed.
