The father of a suspected burglar left in a coma after being tackled by a homeowner has failed in a legal challenge.

Denby Collins, 38, was tackled and restrained when he entered a house in Gillingham, Kent in December 2013.

His father challenged a law introduced in April 2013 giving householders the right to use "disproportionate force" against intruders.

The High Court has ruled the law is not incompatible with human rights laws.

A few years ago one of our neighbours had a break in when he was in bed.He accosted the man at the top of stairs and hit him with a wooden coathanger, knocking him down the stairs.the burglar broke his leg and shoulder.Police arrested both of them and the case went on for nearly a year. The home owner got off.
Cheeky so and so Burglar sued for loss of earnings.(??spoils I guess.)
That was around the time Tony Martin shot a burglar on his far.
So glad the law is more sensible but wonder what these thieving asylum seekers immigrants will get - seems to be their national hobby by what I see in television. Some are quite brazen , saying if they get no benefits will just have to steal..

I'm of the great belief that if anyone we take in (I won't say give asylum because so few actually qualify) gets so much as a parking ticket they ought be sent back from where they came (or claimed to have come) from. No excuses: our laws, our land: fit in or f*** off!

Not only is my attitude hardening daily, I don't see or hear so many of the liberal lefty types wanting to take in this scum.
