Saudi Arabia: Man divorces ‘jinxed’ bride two days after wedding


Jeddah: A Saudi man reportedly divorced his wife of two days after their wedding, claiming she was ‘jinxed’.

The groom encountered certain events during their honeymoon that led to divorce.

When the groom and bride entered their apartment in Western Red Sea Port of Jeddah, the curtain fell down.

When they went out at a local restaurant, the waiter who was serving them apparently fell down after the woman commented on the way he walked.

When they returned to the apartment, the woman admired the perfume bottle and soon the bottle fell and broke into pieces.

According to the Arabic language daily Sada, the series of incidents started playing on the the man's mind and so he decided to divorce his wife.

He took the bride back to her home town in Taif and told her parents that he had divorced her.

He also returned the dowry money and all the wedding gifts.
