Ambulance crews had to search for a man for over an hour, after he became trapped and injured in a small passage way in Birmingham in the early hours of this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received a call from a man at 3.46am this morning stating that he had fallen approximately 10 metres into a ditch and had no idea where he was. The man was believed to have been on Holloway Circus but didn’t know in which direction he had been walking.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Staff within the emergency control room tried to establish as much information as they could to enable the crews to get as close the patient’s location as possible

I'm glad the man was rescued, but what on earth was he up to going through a pitch black passage at 03:46 in the morning.

He was probably doing the same thing as the person who was caught cutting the lead off my bay window last year at 2 a.m.
"I was going to meet me mates."
