10% all round! - I bet very few councils will be calling for much less.

I really don't think they'll be interested, but more to the point, why should the public do their job for them? - Just how much do the local residents pay for these 'experts'?

I would rather they stopped squandering money on things that they shouldn't be involved in (running hotels) or projects that don't benefit the wider community (cycle lanes, subsidised buses for faith schools!) and stopped paying their staff outrageous salaries (how much is the inept top management line costing us?).

<gets down off high horse>

Both the County Council & the Police are putting their share of the tax up by nearly 5%. I wouldn't mind so much if I actually got more than street lights & my bins emptied for my money: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/county-council-to-raise-tax-by-over-80-a-year-while-cutting-spending-48329/

Although, any contact I have had with the police has generally been a positive experience.

Dump the police commissioner and the other hangers-on. They are a complete waste of space, not to mention oxygen.

I don't see any point to them, either. Just another one of Cameron's gimicks.

Looks like the County's residents are going to get hammered over the next 5 years: https://www.warwickshireworld.com/news/people/warwickshire-county-council-maximum-council-tax-rises-proposed-for-the-next-five-years-4908828

Shame most people won't see improved services for the extra tax.

Here we go again. I'm not entirely sure why business have to consulted on Council Tax - they don't pay it: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/businesses-invited-to-meeting-on-stratford-district-council-budget/
