The salvation Army have some places for people to go but not always in the daytime and even then, for only a few short hours..Donations given to S.A. take time to reach these peoPLe---they have committees to consult, and we all know how long a committee takes to make a decision.
It goes against William Booth's policy, not to help at source, i.e.when they are freezing in doorways, whatever we think., instead of waiting for committees to decide what to do,
where in some cases its too late.
Some of his--Booths -policies/ dreams have been somewhat arrogantly weakened / modernised. So let's stick to the basics and keep helping , and stop people freezing to death in front of us.
