When I worked for Ford, the intranet went down. We were absolutely b*ggered. Even the phone directories were online!

The incident has sent the company I work for into panic mode - a load of security upgrades have suddenly appeared on out IT network.

This whole sorry story leads back to Tata's own IT consultancy people who are seen as a joke in the real world. Penny pinching has come back to bite them on their backside.
