Went well, didn't it? Evs are not the future. The government thinks it can force them upon us, but it is wrong. EVs are not green and there are plenty of issues with them that require sorting. But you can't tell the net-zero zealots this as it offends them and is often beyond their hopelessly short-term vision.

5000 units a year isn't enough to attract the best rates from suppliers, and there are already worries about the very limited range of the vehicles. Sadly, I predict that this little venture will end in failure.

As regards 1000 new jobs, just how many will be lost when the old factory runs down?
