How the hell did he get elected in the first place?

Sadly, the great unwashed in this country don't pay adequate attention to politics and those that get to represent them. In the past I've asked very pointed questions of those that seek my vote, and many haven't even had the decency to respond.

Over the last 12 months I have contacted my own MP almost monthly, demanding to know what his stance on this or that is. I have also requested that as my representative he take consideration of my views rather than the party line. Whilst I haven't had an awful lot of success with him, I have always had a response. Sufficient to say, I certainly wouldn't cast my vote for him if he were to stand again.

I really think it time that we were able to hold politicians to account for their pre-election promises.
