The first duty of government is to protect its citizens. This is really worrying, and the Scouse PM seems to have no idea

It seems to be the same with the UK's armed forces. Most of our boats seem to be broken, 'non-essential' training's been cut back for the army (not that they have decent kit/bullets to train with), and the RAF is having to share its fighters with the navy.

I genuinely think NATO has lost its way and the reason it was created. Sadly, these things often happen.

NATO's already lost credibility with me after it buried it's collective head in the sand (apart from Poland & Lithuania) after Trump told Europe America's not protecting them any more.

Giving Stammer a job won't help NATO's reputation.

I contacted my (Labour) MP about this a couple of weeks ago. The ignorant woman didn't even acknowledge my email, never mind reply to it. I do hope she doesn't canvass around here in the near future!

Self interest seems to have been a recurring theme over the years. It says a lot that the only vote ALL MPs turn up to is the one where they give themselves a fat pay rise.

Many of us can remember the Labour Sleaze from the late 60s/early 70s. Unfortunately, few parties are without corruption.

I personally think that it is the opportunity to improve one's own finances that encourages many into politics.

I've personally known several politicians; they always come out of politics far richer than they went in!

Over the years, I've been asked many times why I won't enter politics. My answer has always been the same. "Because I have personal integrity, and I'm basically honest!"
