A plane heading to Inverness from Birmingham Airport was forced to turn back following a mechanical scare today.
Five fire engines and about 25 firefighters were put on standby when a FlyBe Bombardier Dash 8 reported a hydraulic system failure, which was thought to be a leak.

Must be a bit of a slow news day or reporters are now paranoid about aircraft after the Shoreham disaster.
The Dash 8 is a lovely plane and my favourite prop driven civil passenger aircraft. I used them regularly when travelling to and from Scotland. As for the 'experts' saying the landing being a bit bumpier than normal, it depends on the skill of the pilot, but I'll bet most of the passengers didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
