I was hoping that UKIP would win. The others needed a good fright. They are so complacent it's unbelievable.
Even now Cameron thinks it's 'just a 'blip'
After this, Ukip will increase it's attempts based upon this glory and I would not be surprised if this is the way we go now. We are all so tired of the other parties excuses-blaming each other for the rot which has set in over the past 20 years or so..

I am of two minds over them. I have used it now and again as I am a shift worker and it isn't unknown to be working when the vote is happening so postal is useful, however, I have misgivings in a way because your vote must be more secure if you deliver it in person.

Eastleigh aside though, what do we feel about the massive increase in postal votes? IIRC if you wanted a postal vote you used to have to have a damned good reason and jump through plenty of hoops. This no longer appears to be the case....

Eastleigh By-election
I hadn't a clue who was going to win this one, but thought Labour might just edge in. I thought the Lib Dems might have got a hammering with the bad press they've had over the last few days.
