I've always been in 2 minds about the tapestry - mostly because I went to Coventry Cathedral on a school trip when I was 6 or 7, and found the tapestry a bit creepy!

And yes, they have a bloomin cheek if they charging locals to enter the Cathedral. It's a disgrace.
I remember when the big wigs at Canterbury Cathedral started charging visitors to enter the Cathedral, but locals like myself at the time, didn't have to pay.
I also complained about St. Paul's Cathedral charging to go in, I got in free only because I made a fuss.

Sadly, it's the only way most cathedrals can get by nowadays. It didn't stop me walking out of York Minster last year when I realised they charge £10 to have a look round though.

Remember seeing it for the first time as a kid. I was quite impressed.

I just think it disgusting that it now costs you to enter the cathedral. - Yet more unnecessary money grabbing; and they wonder why people are falling out of love with the church!
