Sounds a lot of money, but won't help get many off the streets. - That said, if it helps one person, that is to be celebrated.

The city council's being given £815,000 to house the local homeless. Sounds like one of Burnham's gimmicks to me: https://coventryobserver.co.uk/news/rou ... t-funding/

I know people who have worked in social housing; thry're amongst the most angry about the injustice of the situation.

I've met a few proper old fashioned tramps over the years. They're amongst the most at peace with themselves people I've known, and do a better job of looking after themselves than a lod of 'housed' people.

Everything is helpful, but many rough sleepers don't want to be helped. A friend's son works on the outreach team, he shares some interesting tales.

But look at the amount offered here, and look at the money spent on illegal immigrants. - Not very equitable, is it?

At least the Council seems to be working with people who know what they're doing: https://www.coventryobserver.co.uk/news/108000-new-funding-for-coventry-to-help-rough-sleepers-this-winter/
