Warwickshire's Free Online Community Portal
Warwickshire is home to a population of 530,000 people and
is the fastest growing population in the Midlands. With this in mind we
thought it was time that Warwickshire was offered its own community forum,
to give the people or Warwickshire a collective voice. The forum is broken
down into individal towns as well, so you cac discuss local issues that
are important to you.
Some of the main features of the site include.
- Chat Room - As well as the forum, members can chat in real time here.
- Picture Gallery - For members to Upload picture for everyone to view.
- Interactive Map - Members can add their own markers to show places of special interest.
- Articles section - Members can write articles to share local information.
- News - News feeds from Around Warwickshire.
Another exciting new addition to the site is the Warwickshire
WIki. Members (and guests), are welcome to edit our very own WIki.
The software is the same that is used for Wikipedia, but this Wiki id
dedicated to Warwickshire.
You may wonder why Warwickshire needs a Wiki in addition to Wikipedia.
Well the simple reason is that this Wiki will allow far more detailed
local infomation to be added, that isn't allowed on Wiki. Such as local
pubs/resturants, businesses, shops, local organisations (anything from
sport to charity groups), and so on. The Warwickshire
Wiki may eventually become the only place worth getting your local
info from.
