Default Flooding

I hope folks have not been too affected by the flooding in Leamington and indeed elsewhere.
I wasn't in Leamington the last time it suffered from severe flooding, i think 1998, but just seeing the river today burst its banks and was quite a torrent. Jephson Park was closed off as it was under water, and the grounds by the Pump rooms is water logged too, the water reached over the road to Dormer place and as far as the Apollo Cinema. St. Peters Catholic Curch had to close and two wedding that were to be held there had to go to the Lillington Church. Mass was also cancelled at St. Peters as the water was slowly encroaching up to the entrance of the Church. I think this evening the water has gone down a bit. Just praying that there will be no more heavy showers.
It must be terrible for local shops and businesses.

I had 3 foot of water round 3 sides of my house last light, luckily the inside of the house is 6 foot higher than the outside so all is well indoors (so far..) I had to wade through it to get in last night, ( 3 times cos I had to carry the dogs ) I had all the cars trying to get through the floods outside for entertainment, so that helped. I put my hand on the bridge, and I could feel the vibrations of lord knows what banging under it as it went under, which was odd...
The garden is pretty trashed, had three sheds underwater, that will give me something to do tomorrow I found the beer garden type table down the other end of the garden this morning when the water subsided! I have gained a load of firewood, A broken wardrobe, and a funny smell... could be worse.
