You may be interested in a free advertising to help promote WO. I have started a site called ADEXlive. With running so many websites, I needed a method of promotion that didn't cost anything, so I came up with scheme having seen it successfully used elsewhere.

As the number of sites participating grows, so does the exposure of the site you are advertising. It works in the form of credits, for every 2 ads you show, you get 1 credit for your site ad. You end up with a "rotating banner ad" on your site.

For those without a website, who simply want to advertise a service/product or shop, you can "purchase" credits via paypal.

any suggestions on where to get banners?

If you dont have a graphic package you could make a simple one with coloured background and text using "paint".

I'll have a look for banner making services, but if anyone else has suggestions or is able to knock them up in a grpahics package, that would be useful.

That will never happen because will won't have other local forums advertise on this site.

It can be categorised when the site grows, so forums could be excluded if Will wished.

However, anyone can use the service on whatever site they like as long as its not porn or violent. All ads and changes are checked.

Thanks for the offer Op. But I'm not a big fan of this type of advertising, I've used it on other sites and it's never proved of any real benefit to me.

Good luck with it though, I'll certainly point anyone in your direction who's looking for this type of advertising.
