Photo competition

Would you lot be interested in a photo competition?
I'm not sure if will can set up votes on the gallery software but if not we could post them in the gallery then transfer them for voting in a thread.
You can either just do it for fun, or you can set up a paypall button and charge an entry to get prizes. First one could be weather as it's a current topic, rain snow, leaves anything to do with weather.
I think we've got enough members to do it, What you think?

This is something I definately want to do in the future. But while we have more members now, I don't think we have a significant amount of photogaphers.

But yes I will definitely want to do this in the future. I've also considered starting up a photography group, in the groups sections. Something that I will probably go ahead with in the near future.

Thank you for the suggestion though, they are always appreciated.

Great idea! - I have some super dooper snow piccies but none of them are in Warwickshire.. we need snow.

I've got a view from warwickshire, and they don't have to snow, they could be any weather.
I think there may be more interested than you think, I think you've got a good quality membership. Everyones got a camera, even if it's on a phone.

OK, give me a few days to think about the best way to do it. I'll add a photogaphy section to the groups as well. Not today though, as I'm wiped.

Oh, I run a monthly weather comp on MWF, any chance of a something slightly different to give me a change?

Sorting out voting with photoplog was the biggest issue. We ran a poll at first, but once you get too many pics you have to do it manually.

Well I thought it as it was a current topic, but then we could have what ever, want something easy to start with. I could have took some great ones today, loads of trees over, swollen rivers.

A PHOTO COMPETITION, GREAT IDEA,
Idont think we need prizes tho' at first. For the fun of it why not see what people come up with. You have enough members to judge. The picture with most votes wins.
A monthly comp. and the first one COULD be weather. Get the old brain cells going, there plenty of weather about.
Most people have digital cameras, but if not, a scanned image from a real photo is perfect.

photography is one of my hobbies
