Default Local paper feeds?

Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to display local news feeds, maybe as sub-forums?

Hi Milly,

This is something I've been considering for a while. I think it's just a matter of deciding which papers to use. I will be doing this at some point though.

Thank you for the suggestion.

There are a couple of bugs in the vB RSS feeds, but hopefully this will be ironed out with 3.6.2. The biggest bugbear however, is that if a story gets updated, instead of dropping the new story as a reply to post, it becomes a new thread, creating a lot of manual administration.

Also as far as I'm aware, there's no way to get VB to work out what the template is of the site you're getting the rss feeds from, so you have to do it manually, which I don't know how to do. Hopefully this will get sorted soon too.

We're still on 3.6.0 at the moment, will upgrade to 3.6.1 as soon as I'm feeling up to it.

Good point, I'll leave it until then. Upgrades are a real pain, even though VB make it very easy, it's still a pain.

I know what you mean - especially if you have a few modifications
