    Some good merits in the idea but I tend to be a bit of a cynic. Money is tight so perhaps a grant is involved, some nice plans have been put out but wonder, at what point will it be pruned back due to COVID19. We certainly need recreation areas, especially those that can easily be accessed by those on foot as well as vehicles but in the same breath there is also a mad panic on to cover up huge chunks of green belt land with housing. I think I will put my rose tinted glasses on and view the area as presented.

    However there does appear to be one significant obstacle in that the owner of the land where the Rec expansion is proposed, is not interested in selling.

    The council has declined to comment on how it could overcome this hurdle.
