Default Funding Bid for Riverside Corridor

Sounds suspiciously like another tastful tourist attraction: https://www.stratford-herald.com/110...r-project.html

It'll be a rushed affair due to Bozza's build, build, build, policies and the usual checks will be omitted. We are entering very dangerous waters as regards development.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Plus the 'wave it through, so we can start getting pennies out of tourists as quickly as possible' factor!

I saw something about canal side borders in Birmingham to provide corridors for wildlife. it's a great idea, but guess we will have to wait and see what comes out of it. Maybe they will start charging people to walk along the canals...
    Cool

Hope not. I really enjoy walking along canals.

I don't think charging is viable. But I believe there has been talk of using towpaths for internet cabling?

I too love a walk along the canal. Sadly, these days it's all too often spoiled by cyclists who have no respect for others. Scrapping the towpatch cycle permit was a backward step in my opinion.
