    Thumbs up Leamington Parade

The Parade in Leamington is now closed off to traffic, for why I am not clear. But it was pleasant with more shops opening, apart from not knowing where the heck to catch the bus from.
Went into Waterstones for a certain book , produced cash for payment but the girl at the till informs me that they are only accepting card payment, so I said, fine no business then, cheerio!
I went to W.H. Smiths and got what I wanted, plus a few other items, no problem , paid cash.
I think folks are getting a bit too paranoid in shops.

I'm glad I went into W.H. Smiths, they have a reduction on books.

Glad you got what you went for Margaret.

To be fair, the girl on the till was likely only following orders but it's so silly. I have an idea that a sub agenda is developing to wean us off cash and onto electronic payments: all under the 'it's COVID' guise. I have, and sometimes use, electronic methods; but far prefer cash unless it's for a large sum. The powers that be don't like cash as it's untraceable!

    Waterstone's loss I'd say, Margaret.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Agreed , cash is one of the few ways we seem to have left that we can express our self-autonomy.
It is interesting that during this present business there has been a huge push for everyone to do banking and transactions online, where the agenda is transparent, which I will never do.
