    Default Body Recovered from River Leam

    The man's body was found in the river at Jephson Gardens at about 6.25am. Friday, May 15th.

    Officers and the fire service attended and recovered the body of a man from the river.

    The cause of death is not yet known but the death is currently being treated as suspicious.


    Formal identification is yet to take place.

    Bodies that have been in water are often not a pretty sight. I remember one (a child's) being pulled from the river near where I grew up. It took a long time for the lady who discovered it to recover.

    Sad to hear of this one.
    Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

    The police are treating the situation as being suspicious.

    Updates from the Leamington Courier say the police believe that they have identified the man was a 65 year old from Leamington Spa.
