And that's what I find so troubling, Lex.
I've seen so-called experts get things wrong so many times, mainly when they're desperate to find something that 'looks' right and fits the agenda.

Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
The end's in sight (hopefully!): https://www.stratford-herald.com/new...kdown-9157756/
Problems are predicted with pubs, though: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...-open-19895699 A couple of my locals are going to struggle to fit enough customers into their gardens to make opening worthwhile (those that have gardens!)

They are talking about passports now to prove you've had the vaccine.
“I doubt sometimes whether a quiet and unagitated life would have suited me - yet I sometimes long for it.”
- Lord Byron.
I would suggest scare tactics to force you into taking the vaccine, Margaret.
You've often needed to prove vaccinations to other countries so nothing new there.
Things start opening up in two weeks time and they've only just started debating it. How long would it take to get a system up and running? Track and trace didn't exactly work, did it?

Gove (nasty greasy little twerp) is leading the review into possible passports and is expected to report back findings just before the final stage of opening things up. If we've got that far I can't see anything happening, never mind the time it would take to push legislation through. Stammer [SIC] might decide to grow a pair and oppose, but a lot of the Tories are already anti this type of thing.
Of course, individual premises are free to do what they wish as long as they break none of the current discrimination laws. My religion forbids me to take vaccines, how about yours? - I don't think anyone's allowed to question religion.
I might add that Gove (much as I despise him) seems to be personally against legislation.

I was reading in the paper earlier that there's talk about adding the vaccination evidence to the track & trace app, so that'll be a b***s up from the start, especially as the app won't work on older mobile phones.

Like many, Lex, I don't have a mobile phone.

Steady progress with the vaccinations in Leamington: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...orward-3146457
The pressure to have the vaccination continues with Queenie now getting involved and suggesting those who don't have it ought to think of others rather than themselves.
I suspect that the refusal rate is far higher than we are being led to believe.

I've done a little digging about a couple of these vaccines...
Pfizer: Total adverse reactions 77207 - Deaths 197.
AstraZeneca: Total adverse reactions 114625 - Deaths 205.
These are of course only reported figures, actual figures are going to be much higher. I wonder how many of these 'reactions' will go on to become long-term problems?

I had my 1st jab yesterday; apart from a slight ache in my left arm (probably due to sleeping on my left side), I've had no adverse reactions at all.
There's always bl***y something, isn't there?

We surrendered our freedoms far too quickly and on the flimsiest of evidence, don't expect our megalomaniac politicians to be in a hurry to return them. Listen to the words that some of them use, notably Johnson (rather an apt name IMO) and Hand-on-c*ck. You'd think they were doing us favours.

Letting everyone bring the Indian version of COVID back to the UK before closing the border is another great example of how badly the whole farce has been handled.
