    Default Local History talk

THE LIFE of jet engine pioneer Sir Frank Whittle will be the focus of a talk in Leamington.

Barry James, president of the Midlands Air Museum, will speak about the life and achievements of the engineer who was educated in the town.

The Warwickshire National Trust event will take place at Kingsley School Hall on Monday February 3, starting at 7.30pm.

Entry is free to local association members and £3 for visitors.

I bet that will be a good evening.

Midland Air Museum has a lot of unseen AWA material, I'm not sure how much they have of what Whittle did with AWA, but there was a lot of collaboration.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Sounds interesting. Unfortunately, I'm committed to other things on Mondays at the minute.
