    I don't know why they still fly B-52 bombers.
    B-52's dropped more bombs on Vietnam than the whole of allied bombing in WW2.

    It's a unstressed design that they've updated many times. It's a shame we don't do more unstressed designs as it's usually airframe fatigue that forces our aircraft out of service. Even the Shackletons (Lancaster descendants) could have their main wing spar replaced and hence their service life extended.
    Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
