Thanks Lex. It seems Summer didn't last long. They've got Christmas decorations up in Leam already. Maybe it is to do with the Festival Of Light, which Is a nice idea , looks more cheerful on the dark nights.

It didn't seem to, did it? And now the nights are drawing in so quick.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Summer just whizzed passed. The mixed weather did wonders for my allotment - it had turned into a bit of a jungle by the end of August.

WM police wrote to remind me. How nice of them, though I'd prefer it if they were out looking for criminals!

I didn't know they had nannies in the police force! Or should that be ninnies?

    It's Halloween I don't like.

My house will be in darkness, I'll be down the pub.

No animals to worry about these days, but fireworks were often a real pain.

What's happened to your dog and cat?

Had to have the dog PTS about 3 years ago now. She suffered sudden kidney failure and was only 5. I lost the cat about a month ago, I have no idea how old she was, but I'd had her 9 years. I miss them both, but can't see myself having any more animals. They were both Anne's pets and I made her a deathbed promise to look after them. They were also the last links I had back to her.

I seem to recall you had a dog called Freya that died, and thought you got another dog after that.
I didn't realise you had been without a dog for 3 years now.
And now the cat has sadly gone.

Freya was my last dog, she was a Belgian Malinois. This is the longest I've been (apart from when I was married) without a dog. But I honestly can't face the early morning and late night walks again; especially in the cold and wet. But that hasn't stopped people trying to palm dogs off on to me!
