My first thought was 'Shouldn't he be doing his homework?'
I cast my vote after work this evening. Decided to vote tactically in the end, instead of spoiling my ballot paper like I originally intended.
I intended spoiling my paper, but decided against it and cast a legitimate vote. I then went down the pub. Had I gone to the pub first, I would have no doubt spoiled my paper!
Apparently, the voting station hadn't been busy.
Same here; but with the way things are going, the situation could be completely different next time (2021?). Apparently, turnout was down slightly on the last General Election.
Coventry remained red, but with markedly reduced majorities.
Listening to various sources today it seems that Labour still haven't gotten the message.
It is an amazing tory result given that all I seen around the Warwick and Leamington area was Labour posters.
I hope we are not going to get problems with the recent marauding Antifa crowd with riots. We don't want it looking like France.
Apparently, people are already protesting about the result (sound familiar?)
The people of the country have spoken. Boris has a clear mandate to get on with things, whether you agree with it, him being elected, or not.
One reason why he got so many seats was that people (both remainers and leavers) were disgusted at attempts to overturn the referendum result by fair means or foul. Most in this country understand, and value, what they see as democracy. - Hence Swinson's swift removal!
