    I'm starting to think the whole save the High Street movement is a case of flogging a dead horse. Society's spending habits are shifting to more online shopping.

    I think the high street model that we're used to is likely finished. But what is going to replace it, I haven't a clue. People buy online because it's usually cheaper and more convenient, but with big ticket items they like to see and touch them first. - Bit of a paradox.

    I think the landlords and councils could do a little to help with rent and rates though.
    Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
