The problem here is Enterprise Inns (or whatever they call themselves these days!) Enterprise are only interested in milking gullible licencees for their life savings. They have no interest whatsoever of providing pubs that locals want.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
The New Inn in Norton Lindsay seems to be thriving now it's owned by the villagers, so could be a viable option for The Fox.
A deal seems to be close: http://www.stratford-herald.com/1031...l-buy-pub.html
The village has managed to raise the cash; I hope they do well in their venture: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-51152232
I wish them well, but truthfully fear for them. Enterprise are not good people to work with.
