Looks like it's going to be a nasty one in Stratford this year: http://www.stratford-herald.com/9736...-deadline.html
Of the 3 muppets that represent Coventry, I hope they get massacred for betraying those that elected them. I certainly won't be voting for Fletcher!
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
Here's the list of Coventry's candidates: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...tions-16084163
I won't be voting for any that are standing in my ward. But I will go along and 'spoil' my paper.

I haven't come across a list of Stratford District's candidates yet, but I already have a notion of who I'll be voting for.
Here's the lists for Warwick District & parish elections:

I think we live in interesting times. I suspect that many candidates are going to be punished due to their leadership's failings.
I do hope that none knock my door, as my response will be very short and to the point!

I'm trying to separate local politics from nation politics this time round.
I don't think you can this time around Lex.
The national leadership are ignoring everything they're being told by the grassroots activists. The only way to get them to listen is to punish their local candidates. - They probably won't listen then, but at least the electorate will have voiced their thoughts.

Yeah, I'm thinking that, but our local Conservative councillor actually seem to care about his ward, and looks like he's the only candidate who lives in/near the patch he's standing in (the other candidates' addresses aren't on the official announcement, which makes me think they aren't local).
I have a cousin who has stood (for one of the mainstream parties) in local elections several times. He lives in the ward, but only thinks of himself, and I have never known a more insincere person. (Ex-personnel officer by way of a former life!)

Coventry's Lib Dems have their say: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...entry-16149103
And Solihull's Lib Dems' tuppenceworth: https://solihullobserver.co.uk/news/...-in-manifesto/
