The Labour leaflet was interesting. All about national politics, very little about local issues!

Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.
My local Conservative candidate's coming from the opposite direction - all local issues, and no national politics.

Ooh, that could get interesting!

I actually laughed when I read the headline: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...egged-16172859
I'm guessing you'll have something to say about this, Rebbonk, and none of it pleasant!

Take the city forward? The bl**dy clowns are going backwards. The city is a damned mess, they start things they can't (or won't) finish. Critical services are being decimated. The electorate is being ignored. Taxes rising...
If I said what I really thought I'd likely get a visit from plod!

Maybe turnout in Coventry is so low because every councillor who gets elected turns out to be incompetent?

The problem is that we keep letting them get away with it. The Coventry F/B pages are full of gripes about the council, but they;ll still let the same morons in year after year.
I'd like to see each candidates' IQ published as a compulsory part of any election. It might not be foolproof, but it would give you an idea!

Not a good day for Labour & the Conservatives: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-48142671

A close shave for the Tories in Solihull: https://solihullobserver.co.uk/news/...ihull-council/
The Lib Dems dis quite well in Stratford: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news...trict-council/
I can only assume that all the gobby gits I talk to are, in reality, satisfied with our excremental council. The turn out was abysmal and they had a chance to change things but blew it. Coventry citizens will continue to get shafted, I can only assume that they like the feeling.
