    Default Valerie's Patisserie to go.

The building on Henley Street is owned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, who late last year revealed their plans to turn it into a new destination cafe/restaurant called Will’s Kitchen, once Patisserie Valerie’s lease expired.

So it's Roll on Will's Kitchen then.

My heart sinks. It would be nice to have something 'new' that isn't Shakespeare related.

I never knew and surprised to learn that The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust owns the building, it must be worth a couple of million .
I guess the Shakespeare industry is a big tourist attraction for Stratford. Could it survive without it?

It's probably got to the stage where the town can't survive without the tourist industry. I can remember when Stratford still felt like it belonged to the townsfolk, now a lot of locals call it 'Blackpool on Avon'
