Default Is There a Recession on the Way?

With stock markets dropping like stones, trade wars, house prices stagnating & retail spending falling in the UK, and the probable economic wobble caused by Brexit, I'm developing a bad feeling in my water: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46696376

Wall street had a very bad Xmas eve. If you look at other economic indicators I would say that 2019 might well see a recession.

I'll not blame BREXIT though, the EU project is failing on its own.

I also see war in Europe within a few years if those at the top don't get their act together.
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

Barring a miracle, I'm going to make a loss this year on my share portfolio. - Something that hasn't happened since the 2008/9 crash

Yep, it won't be long before the EU stumbles into it's next crisis once Brexit is out of the way. Angela Merkel's on her way out, and Greece & Italy haven't sorted their problems out yet.

Purely US centric, but an interesting little read...
