    Default Free Pizzas for Homeless

A slightly sick of marketing by dominoes. Pizza isn't going to stop the homeless freezing in doorways; donating cash to the Salvation Army would be money a lot better spent: https://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/...gton-1-8397354

OK it's a little bit on the positive side, but we ought be doing far more for the homeless (where we can, and where they're prepared to accept help).
Of course it'll fit, you just need a bigger hammer.

The salvation Army have some places for people to go but not always in the daytime and even then, for only a few short hours..Donations given to S.A. take time to reach these peoPLe---they have committees to consult, and we all know how long a committee takes to make a decision.
It goes against William Booth's policy, not to help at source, i.e.when they are freezing in doorways, whatever we think., instead of waiting for committees to decide what to do,
where in some cases its too late.
Some of his--Booths -policies/ dreams have been somewhat arrogantly weakened / modernised. So let's stick to the basics and keep helping , and stop people freezing to death in front of us.

This is good, but will only help where the homeless are prepared to ask for help. Sadly, many are too proud to ask for help.

But being fair, any help to the genuinely homeless is to be applauded.
